Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Miami Dolphins have signed free agent FB Fred Beasley (49ers) to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

I think Beasley is the best FB in the NFL (and no I don't want to argue about it) and just didn't get the hype b/c he played for SF. Should be a nice boost in production for Ronnie Brown.

Blah, another loss for the 49ers... :,-(

Beasley was the man...too bad he didn't get much help behind him last year. He can catch passes to, so Miami's offense is looking much better this year. I suppose this means they will use the I for Ronnie? Of course, the 49ers always used the pro-form set, so I guess they might still be split. They've got options now.

I agree. Brown will probably be a 2nd round steal, though it remains to be seen if he can even get that far.
