I had something scary happen to me yesterday regarding my 6-year old. He was climbing a tree, went to place his foot on another branch and missed. He fell about 15 feet. If he hadn't hit a couple branches on the way down, he very easily could have broken something. I'm sure someday we'll laugh about this, but for now I don't think he'll be climbing any trees. He was a little shaken up, but only some scratches thank God.

Very scary indeed. Glad everything turned out OK. I have 2 small boys and would hope that I could remain as controlled in the situation as you. Thanks for the heads up, I will be reading some articles this afternoon.
