They say it's normal for this to happen initially. Gradually it will improve is what I'm told.

I can't even put drops in my eyes - it absolutely freaks me out to have something near my eyes. I have no idea whether or not I could do this surgery.

It makes me shiver just to think about it. :-o :-o

Believe me, I hate to put drops in my eyes too. I hate anything about touching my eyes. I was not looking forward to this. I hated wearing contacts because I simply hated putting them in and taking them out. I'm looking forward to the end result though. :-D

Just like anything else...takes time and a little patience. Once you figure out what works for you, it's nothing. It would take me like 10 or 15 minutes to put contacts in when I started using them, but now it takes like 30 seconds. I take them out of both my eyes at the same time these days also...neat trick. ;-D

They'd have to put me out before I could do that surgery. No way I could do it awake.

I'm pretty sure you have to do it while awake... your eyes have to be open.

The thought of getting a laser in my eye scares the Hell out of me! Image

I've been wearing glasses or contacts for the past twelve + years, but I'm not even close to considering surgery...

There are two separate things they put on your eyes that keep them open. The first pulls the skin away from your eyes to initially keep them open, then another actually gets underneath your eyelids and pulls them open.

Yikes, Ive had glasses since 4th grade, and contacts since 10th, but I dont think I could do that surgery after hearing that story. Although it sure would be nice... I dont mind contacts too much, but it would be cool not to have to worry about it. Hope the rest of the process goes smoothly for ya Omaha. ;-D
