My 2nd sig

Postby dan9124 » Sun Apr 23, 2006 7:07 pm

Just finished my second sig. It's pretty simple, I was just trying out an online tutorial when I did it. Just lookin for any comments on it. Thanks.

And I know I probably should've gotten some different images besides the ones I already had from my first sig, but like I said, I was just tryin out a tutorial so I wasn't really concerned about who/what was on it, just how it looks overall.

nice job for a second sig. you've got the idea.

some suggestions:
-i'm not a big fan of sigs 468 pixels wide, especially when you've got a bunch of empty space.
-hall looks a little jagged on the edges but i just finished a video tutorial on cutting players out so hopefully i can help you with that ;-D.
-the text is nice, you might want to try some blending options (right click layer>blending options). i personally like white text set on overlay with a 1 px drop shadow at 1 px distance, a white color overlay with lowered opacity, and a black outer glow set on normal. but of course, that's just what i like to do :-b.

other than that, nice job, especially for your second try. and oh yea, might wanna stick on a border :-D (new layer, select all, edit>stroke>1 px black ;-D).

Good idea, whoever said that it doesnt ave to be 468 wide. I was lookin at it and thinkin there was too much empty space but for some reason common sense didn't kick in...
And yes I used about two or three different layers for the background. I did filter-render-cloud first off, then did a layer on top with a brush pretty much all over it then copied that layer and edit-transform-rotate 180 then put the images in and made opacity 50% on the brushed layer (i think) and also on that layer made it Lighten. I think all the other layers were Soft Light except the first which was normal. I'll find the tutorial and post it when I get a chance since that probably wasn't the best explanation.
