These days, I'm pretty much the only college-kid with a plain 'ol ring.

On my old phone, I had different songs for different people. The only ones I really remember are 'Mission Impossible Theme' for the ladies and Beck's 'I'm a Loser' for this one kid I don't like.

I've got the first verse from "21st Century Schizoid Man" by King Crimson as my ringtone..

And a clip from "NSU" by Cream plays everytime I get a text message.

I made both myself.

it seems like the default cingular tone that too many people use is the same tone that is my alarm clock. i cringe everytime i hear some goober's phone go off with that particular ring.

Okay, how do I go about getting a ringtone for my cingular phone. I do not have the internet on my phone, so how do I make the transfer

you'll have to search a ringtone database and find one you like. then they send it to your phone in a text message. it will likely cost you $5 or something total to get a ringtone, so don't mess around and send like 20 to your phone to see which you like best. it seems like most of the ringtone sites i see are based in the UK. but you can still get your tones from them, i think.

All you guys who pay for each ringtone are crazy...Go to http://www.3gupload.com ....You pay something like $6 for a 6 month membership and can upload unlimited real songs from your computer (provided your phone is compatible)....I highly recommend
