I saw The Who on tour back in 1990 when they came to Folsom Field in Boulder, CO. They were absolutely awesome in concert - I can't remember who their drummer was at that time but they put on on helluva show.
IMO, The Who is an acquired taste - you either like them or you don't. Their music is certainly popluar with TV show and you have to give them all the credit for being one of the early pioneers of the Rock N' Roll invasion. A lot of todays musicians give credit to The Who for being an inspiration.

I like the Who too...some very good songs indeed. I don't know that I share Moon's passion for them though. I think there's a few of their songs I wouldn't ever change the station on...but there may be a couple that I will. The one's Moon mentioned are really good though. I do like Baba O Reilly a lot. Who are you makes me think of Sunday Night Football on ESPN, and reminds me how much I hate Theisman.
I enjoy me some Who and I think Keith Moon was the greatest but when people start putting them in the same league as say Led Zeppelin then I have issues.
The Who are a quality, classic band. They're justifiably in the pantheon of Rock Gods including Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Queen, but IMO they're on the lower end of that list.

Only 3 leagues this year. No sense in rooting for everyone in the NFL.
bargain is good too. and water. Won't get fooled again is a major ass kicker. best scream ever. they are easily creeping into my top 5 from relative obscurity.

they're way, way better than Queen IMO
Floyd is my favorite band ever and they rock. Zepplin has become irritating to me, but still one of the best bands ever
I bought the Who's 2-Disc Greatest Hits...it rocks. aside from those mentioned, I really like Behind Blue Eyes and Happy Jack too
