No need for mockery here....I think that their is truth in a lot of the things he presents, and even if he is only half right, it seems obvious that there will be a major energy crisis in my lifetime, and it will be beneficial to have some skills and abilities that aren't dependent on modern technologies.

Oh, and a mote is small particle, while a moat is a defensive trench

Thank you on the correction. There was no mockery there it was all in fun, sorry if I offended you. I posted that article because of what you just wrote...everyone should be aware and yes it is very scary.

8-o

It's been 2.59 around here all week.

Where are you getting gas at $2.59? My wife works up in Omaha (120th & L) - let me know where that is so she can fill up!

I'm paying $2.76 just down the road in Lincoln. If you're getting $2.59 gas I'm calling someone in the Unicameral. 8-o

I live in Omaha, but I work most of the time across the river in Council Bluffs. Gas is usually about 10 cents cheaper over there. I make a point to fill up right before the weekend if I don't plan on getting over here. In KC last weekend, we filled up for 2.51.

I'll tell you what. I'll leave a drum of the $2.59 stuff in the Sheraton parking lot, just have your wife put the $142.94 under the rug by the door.
