I know this has been done before. BUT...most of those posting in general talk weren't around for any of those and they were done on a smaller scale including just 60s vs 60s and 70s vs. 70s etc. etc. They also didn't let you nominate who makes it in. It doesn't matter if it's hard rock, country, new wave, whatever all bands can be nominated. So if you don't like it just don't participate.
It's the offseason and everyone needs something to argue about.
While yes, we can probably name who will make the final four or close to it we think alot of the fun can be had battling the middle seeds to see if people vote for the new wave band or the hard rocking one. The fun is in the journey NOT the destination.
Yes, this is strictly a popularity contest. Vote for who you think was the best, who looked the best, who was the corniest, who sold the most records, who won the most awards, who had the best musicians....WHATEVER.
A band can't make the field unless nominated so nominate as many bands as you would like. Once again Knapplc and moonhead will be helping me with the seeding and we can be influenced on seeding by what you put in about your band. Post nothing and don't come back and complain about why they didn't make it...post numerous reasons why you think they should make it and then they don't and then you can complain.
Nominations end at 4pm EST on Fri. the 5th.
