They best keep him around a bit longer. I can't imagine that team having any semblance of recieving core without him.

Packers are hypocrites.

Why couldn't they do this with Walker?

Because Walker wanted stud money. The Pack settled for the lesser Driver and his low-range #1 WR money. Hell, this contract is more like WR#2 money in today's NFL, and Driver is a good to very good #2 WR. Green Bay got a very good bang for their buck with this signing...

I think Ted Thompson foresaw a character issue with Walker...he'll leave that for the Broncos' Mike Shanahan to handle ;)

Walker got double what Driver got, and Walker sure isn't twice as good as Driver.

Walker's younger. Sorry, but Driver will be in the twilight of his career by the time this team is competitive again.

This is a two year contract, by the time it is finished it will be the ideal time for the Packers to cut ties with Driver.

Nice signing. ;-D

Yeah! You go to a better team, with a better offense, and a real chance at playoff success and get paid more. That'll teach ya! :-b

I'm glad the Pack made Driver happy at least. They are going to need way too many things to go right for the Pack to compete this season.
