While I can't stand Vick I can't fault Saban for making the tiny investment. Worst case scenario he does something stupid and gets cut and we are out next to nothing. Best case he develops into an athlete type of player. I don't mind the risk.

Can't fault Saban, here... He's got a risk at QB right now with Culpepper coming off a horrific injury...

Vick was in the run for the Heisman at the mid-way point last season... Just before the Miami game people were predicting him as a top-15 draft pick...

Now, a lot has happened since then, but why not take a risk on a guy with that much upside if you only have to pay him league minimum?

Personally, I think the person who is making a mistake here is Marcus Vick... If you're trying to stay out of trouble and turn your life around, there is no worse place to attempt it than Miami, FL... That's like trying to stay celibate by frequenting strip clubs...
