You don't run the option with a guy you are paying $10-million a year... It's that simple...

That stuff flies in college, cause the players aren't getting payed, and you have to find a new QB every year or two, anyways... In the era of franchise players and $100-million QB contracts, you'd have to be retarded to run the option...

Guys I don't think Tennessee plans on using the option as a base offense....I would not agree with that either...

But for a couple plays a game it could be good for them....

My reason for applauding them is not for the option but for not trying to box such an athlete as Vince into the standard, drop-back passer type of QB.....That's not his game, Vince needs his legs to be successful....And I'm glad Tennessee sees that....

Vick runs the option all the time. He never pitches the ball though, because he's selfish.
