Update: Addai has made a strong impression so far during mandatory minicamp workouts. Despite the loss of Edgerrin James, the Colts will continue to use a one-back set. "Whoever is going to be the starting tailback this season, whether it's by committee or one guy, that guy is going to have a good year, I can promise you that," quarterback Peyton Manning told the Indianapolis Star.
Recommendation: The running back situation in Indy probably isn't going to be clear until late in the preseason. Right now it looks like Dominic Rhodes will be the starter with Addai sharing the job. There could be a dreaded committee system, but either back will have huge upside if they can win the bulk of playing time.
Well even if it is RBBC it will be more of a 70-30 instead of 50-50. so who ever the starter is it won't be that bad. Hopefully, since I got Rhodes in a couple of keeper/dynasty league it will be him.
And maybe I'm just hoping.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.
making rhodes extremely valuable for at least ONE season.
at worst...next season he should make a GREAT #3rb...at worst

Is this a case where it's absolutely mandatory that you draft both backs to ensure you get the starter, much like LJ and Priest were the last couple of years? I'm not so sure I want to spend two picks to get these guys, considering Rhodes has an injury problem and Addai is an unproven rook. I think my best case is grabbing Addai only as my 3rd or 4th back and hope for the best. I never hope for an injury for anyone, but if it happens then I'm set with the only guy in Indy.

Hopefully you don't have to draft anytime soon, but I wouldn't spend 2 picks on Indy rb's this year. It's just too muddled, right now anyways.
I wouldn't burn two picks on the pair, and I wouldn't spend above a 4th rounder on either of them... But if either of them is available to me in the 5th or 6th, I'll probably gamble... There is too much upside there not to....
