I suppose I usually read Sports Illustrated's content from CNN's website, so that's why I chose them. I've never really read Sporting News.

That said, Sproting News is great. Absolutely love it.

I went with Sports Illustrated because they have better writers and are more entertaining generally. For more in depth analysis of players/teams, though, I like Sporting News. Sports Illustrated has always sucked at their preview specials and predictions.
