Rush
Rush is arguably the greatest collection of talent ever assembled. Rush is a “thinking man’s band”, thought provoking and often philosophical lyrics combined with a unique sound and style. The vocals are often the reason people shy away from Rush. Geddy Lee has a shrill and high pitched tone. Rush was a pioneer for progressive rock and even metal. Neil Peart is considered by many to be the greatest drummer ever. Hits include "Tom Sawyer", "Limelight", "The Spirit of Radio", "The Trees" and "Closer to the Heart".
Thompson Twins
The Thompson Twins were a British New Wave band which emerged in the 1980s in the immediate aftermath of New Romanticism. Massively popular in the mid 1980s, the band scored a string of hits in their native UK, broke into the USA and Canada and enjoyed huge popularity around the globe. Total worldwide record sales are estimated at 50 million. The band was named after the two bumbling detectives in Hergé's comic strip, The Adventures of Tintin. The name was amusing since none of the band members were related, or called Thompson, and there were three of them. Hit songs include "In the Name of Love," "Lies," "Hold Me Now," "Doctor! Doctor!" "Lay Your Hands On Me" and "King For a Day."
