This was CNN's lead story online this AM. 8-o

Amazing, isn't it?

Not really, this has been the highest rated show every week that its been on --- usually pulling the top ratings for BOTH nights that its on. Sad? Yes. Surprising? No.

I'd suspect Kellie Pickler would be more likely to go that route.

That broad probably has no idea what Playboy is. Let alone even a magazine.

Because I'm a married man these days, my wife forces me to watch Idol with her at gunpoint. That said, I have to agree that Taylor is a fine singer. Personally, I thought he made a very cool Idol because he doesn't fit the mold of what you'd expect the winner to be. It's not like he didn't have a great voice. The guy actually has a very good voice, he just doesn't look the part.

As for McPhee...damn that's one foxy lady. And you just know with a little training, that girl is going to still hit it big. My wife thinks she has the perfect Broadway voice. After hearing her sing "Over the Rainbow", I'd have to agree. I think we'll be seeing a lot more of McPhee (and hopefully a lot less of Pickler).

C'mon, you didn't like the Puck & Pickler segments last night, DDD? I dunno, maybe I just like 'em dumb.

Anyway, I think Taylor Hicks is good. He doesn't fit the American Idol mold, I 'spose... but I like his music and that's why I've been rootin' him on the whole time. That Chris Daughtry dude probably has the best voice of the guys... but he just kinda bored me with the same 'ol mainstream rock stuff over and over again.

Taylor Hicks had recorded a few songs before he came on American Idol... I found 'em the other night and they're not bad. I'll definitely be interested in his CD when it comes out.

I wound up getting two of the final four right... I thought it was gonna be Chris Daughtry, Katherine McPhee, Taylor Hicks, and Madisa in the final four. Pssh.

First off, Taylor Hicks can sing, and if you can't hear that go get your ears checked.

Second, you don't have to be the best singer to be the best singer... !+)..A lot fo people have real good voices but they don't have the energy or appeal. To be a popular singer you gotta have both, and Taylor Hicks with his white hair, crazy terrible dance moves really got people to like him. And he did have some Southern Charm. ;-D
Keep it lit.
