Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin – Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham formed Led Zeppelin in 1968. Pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal, Zeppelin are regarded as the quintessential rock group. Led Zeppelin is most famous for their song “Stairway to Heaven”, which is revered by many as the greatest rock song ever written. It annually tops Clear Channel radio’s affiliate’s Memorial Day 500 greatest rock songs. John Bonham died in 1980 and took Led Zeppelin with him. Jimmy Page and Robert plant released an album together in 1998 and tour as Page and Plant occasionally. Their hits are beyond numberous but include "Immigrant Song", "In The Evening", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You", "Rock and Roll" and "Kashmir".
Foreigner
Foreigner is a rock and roll band formed in Rochester, New York, USA in 1976 by Lou Gramm, along with veteran musicians Mick Jones and Ian McDonald (see 1976 in music). Despite accusations of formulaic commercialism, Foreigner's unique style of arena rock with keyboard flourishes has racked up sales of over 50 million records worldwide to date. The band's debut album Foreigner sold more than four million copies in the United States and stayed in the Top Twenty for a year with such hits as "Feels Like the First Time", "Cold as Ice", and "Long Long Way From Home". Their sophomore effort, Double Vision, topped their previous selling five million records and spawned "Hot Blooded" and title track "Double Vision". Their third album, Head Games, is a more back-to-basics effort, which Gramm refers to as their "grainiest" album. This album was also successful due to the thunderous "Dirty White Boy" and another title track hit "Head Games". Other hits include "Urgent," "Waiting for a Girl Like You," "Juke Box Hero," "I Want to Know What Love Is," and "I Don't Want to Live Without You."
