I don't understand the Bono hate. He has lots of money, he likes to use that money to help the unfortunate around the world, he calls people out and does outrageous things to use his celebrity to try to further help those people. He would have alot more people not hate him if he did drugs, womanized, and acted more like your typical whacked out rock star.

U2 is a solid band for me. Much more so than Jefferson Airplane. They're not my favorite, but I can sit and listen to them with no problems.

Gotta go with U2 on this one. I may not like their newer material, but they still have an amazing library of work. Joshua Tree is still one of the single greatest albums ever made.

You didnt offend anyone, I was just wondering if you had a reason for hating Bono, or if you were just one of those people who hate him just because other people do.

Like Vaderfin said a few posts up. The dude uses his fame and fortune to bring awareness to world issues like AIDS and world hunger. Edge (their guitarist) just used his fame and fortune to help raise money for musical instruments to replace those destroyed in NO by Katrina. So what if they act a little accentric....I know I'm spelling that wrong, but too lazy to look it up.

u2 is a great band, they have made so many great songs and have stood the test of times. I love their earlier stuff but now their newer stuff I'm really starting to like. I don't know why people Bono so much, at least he does something for others, and helps children in Africa, instead of wasting all of it on himself. But I guess somehow that's self-righteous

U2=Great Band, and thats who I voted for. I will give some credit to Airplane though, they had a few good ones in their day.
