In order to help answer the question about U2's self-righteousness, I once again appeal to the profit MADDOX.

Not that I necessarily agree with everything written in this article (though I do agree that How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb sucked), but this is a nice way of bringing up an outside opinion without starting an argument over it.

I wish he had tried so I could kick his ass and possibly prevent every U2 album after Joshua Tree... Crappy, overplayed, overhyped piece of junk band that should have died horribly a couple of decades back IMO...
