It takes on a different meaning when you get the correct wording of the verse.
As for the 666 date, everyone with a tiny ounce of brain matter in their head knows thats a bunch of crap because as someone pointed out before, the date is actually 06062006. I can understand throwing out the zeros, but what about that 2?? Besides, if you read a few verses before that, the sign of the beast will be on peoples right hands or foreheads, not on a calander.
As for the end of the world, if you believe in the bible, the world was created 4000 years before Christ. Christ came in the "meridian of time" which means there's another 4000 years before his second coming. We just entered the 3rd millinium in 2000, so there's still time folks. No need to go shooting up your school or place of work.

Oh yeah it was a HUGE deal. Not just like in the school but even state-wide, ecspecially county-wide. Turns out nothing happened, but it didn't seem to me that the school was doing enough about it, given some of these kid's histories/apprearances. The school did say, " we're were doing every thing we can" but they weren't saying much...Thank God nothing went down though
