Ronde is the #1 CB on Tampa.

Newman has a lot of game, he has a bad rep because of that pitiful sophmore season though. Mos def underrated.

It's even more impressive looking at the receivers he had to cover.

Santana Moss (twice)
Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Plaxico Burress (twice)
Larry Fitzgerald
Roy Williams
Torry Holt

I'm pretty sure that both S. Moss' tds were against zones, definately not when he was locked up against TNew. And unfortunately it was my man Roy Williams who got beat on those prayers :-P .

Yeah if I'm not mistaken (and i could be) Aaron Glenn was the CB involved in those plays.

You, sir, are correct!

Brunell was 20-of-34 for 291 yards with an interception. He picked on Dallas cornerback Aaron Glenn on both touchdowns.

I don't know if Newman will ever have the INT numbers to make him a household name, but believe me when I say he could start for any team in the league.

I would still take Rolle and McCallister over him.

Well of course it is. There's not a cornerback in the league that mans up 1 on 1 with his WR every down of the season. The point is, the WR's that Newman was covering didn't score a TD. Did he have safety help? Of course he did. Every CB in the league does. But I think Newman was left on an island quite often. They rolled the safety protection more towards A.Henry and A.Glenn because they needed it more.
