I have no love for either band, so I chose VH. I've seen them live, and it was a decent show.

van halen is ok, but skynyrd is amazing, and therefore my vote goes to lynyrd skynyrd.

Must be the hick in me, I went with the country-ish band in a close one. Tuesday's Gone and Simple Man, those two songs are the real reason I give it to Skynyrd.

I voted for VH as well. If this were just the DLR era, I think Van Halen would win this, but the Hagar era toned it down quite a bit and likely took some voters away. I still love the stuff Hagar did with the boys and there's no denying the power of the David Lee Roth led Van Halen. Of course, there was that Cherone guy...
