i used to wear contacts. wear them without taking them out for about 3 months. then i decided to get some glasses and give my eyeballs a rest. i've been wearing the glasses for a little over a year probably.

Got glasses at 6 or 7 years old, and wore glasses until around age 24, and have worn contacts ever since. Considering Lasik surgery, but not overly worried about it. I do everything in my contacts, including sleep. However, I pay $300 for a 6 month supply since they have to be custom made, which means in the long run I'd save a few bucks if I had Lasik done. Still debating on it.

I used to wear glasses. I wore them from about age 11 until about four years ago, when I noticed that I didn’t need them anymore. I went in for another checkup and asked my doctor whether I REALLY needed them and he said no, not really. I have 20/20 vision without glasses, apparently. I have no idea why I was wearing them in the first place – maybe the doctor needed some extra fundage or something.
I am a little bit farsighted, so I have reading glasses for use at work. I usually don't wear them outside of work though, even if I am reading or doing stuff on the comp at home.
