I've had glasses since i was in 2nd grade and my eyes have gotten progressively worse as they are getting too used to glasses. I've had contacts since 9th grade but I mainly wear my glasses because of laziness.
I have needed vision help since I was 8. I wore glasses until I was about 19, then I switched to contacts. As long as I have glasses or contacts, I can see 20/15...my eyes are ultra sharp for whatever reason.
Not a big surprise that most of the guys here need help with their eyes.

got glasses in 4th grade; switched to contacts in 7th grade. i prefer them a lot over glasses because they eliminate the goofy look (i look a ton better w/o glasses), and i have soft contacts, so i never feel them and theyre easy to put in and take out.
Kudos to Leber for the amazing sig and to Metroid for the userbar and making them both fit 2008 and 2009 Defunct Dynasty League Champion

I don't get it. You don't have good peripherals with your glasses or contacts? I never had a problem with that.
Glasses don't give you any periphal vision. When I used to play 7th-8th grade football as a DE, I had to turn my head all of the way in towards the center to see the ball snap. The difference being able to look sideways without turning my head made not just in football but in every sport I played was amazing. Of course, I imagine this isn't as big a deal unless you're nearly blind like myself.

I was basically blind and now I see what you're saying. Gotta wear contacts when you play contact, or any kind of, sports. Of course, those can pop out too.
