Pi search strings let you put in a series of numbers and it searches for that string in Pi. If you put your birth date in it'll tell you where you are in Pi.

Putting in the string "082370" I get:

The string 082370 occurs at position 862,791 counting from the first digit after the decimal point.

Wow, Knapplc, your one day older than me. 082470. I think maybe we had discovered that before.... :-?

For "Pi Day" in geometry my freshman year (of high school), we had a contest to see who could remember the most digits of pi in 45 minutes (the length of the class). I tied the school record.

... of course, that was only 65, but hey ... I got extra credit. And I needed it. Homework sucks.

You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.
