Yikes...

Bengals | Johnson suffers injury during practice
Fri, 16 Jun 2006 14:51:34 -0700

Mark Curnutte, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson (groin) appeared to have suffered a groin injury after going up for a pass during practice Friday, June 16. Johnson came down hard, made his way to the sideline and then fell, flopping from side to side. Johnson was taken off on a cart, presumably for an MRI.

Doesn't seem too serious. And you can't be too safe with examining injuries closely, especially a superstar like CJ.

That might be one of the most unintentionally funny things I've read in some time...

Good thing this happened in June, he will have plenty of time to recover and should be A-OK by preseason.

Mike Anderson tore a groin muscle in the 2004 preseason and was out for the year, this could be serious.

Granted, he also got a chest injury, but after Randy Moss sustained a pulled groin last year, he wasn't the same.

if its a pull, Chad can take it easy for a few months and be ready, if its a tear.... :-o

This could be bad - it's a nice thing that Cincy has a very talented and deep WR corps, but Chad Johnson is one hell of a receiver. Better now than August, though.

Let's not forget Norman Hand's injury a couple of years ago and the immortal headline "Hand pulls groin".
