LaDainian Tomlinson question: contract?

I was perusing fanball.com and saw this in LT's notes:

Tomlinson signed a six-year contract worth $38 million before his rookie season in 2001.

I looked up and saw his contract expires after the 2006 season. So here's my question: do you think he's going to stay in San Diego and renew his contract before the season ends (or even begins for that matter) or does he play out the free agent market?

It's more of a question of what LT wants: stay in SD for his career (as they will certainly sign him to a long, long term deal) or try to move to a Superbowl contender?

This has big implications in keeper and dynasty leagues for sure.

In 2004, he signed a very large (the largest RB contract at the time) contract that locks him up until 2011.
