What are your thoughts on Hilton?
Hes a huge target at 6'8" 268. He is by no means slow for his size. Finished the year last year strong with at least 3 receptions in 6 of the final 7 games. He had 5 games with 4 or more receptions and had 50 yards or more four times with one Td. Brees is a major upgrade in the QB dept and with Bush, Horn and Deuce drawing all the coverage it could open things up for the big guy. I really like his chances this year and could be a nice late round pick both in dynasties and re-drafts.

A decent backup, should you choose to have one in a re-draft. Also a decent option in keeper leagues. But there are alot of young TE's that should be drafted before him.

I think he'll be used more as a redzone threat with weapons like Bush, Horn, McAllister, & Stallworth. Pick him up in a late round and give him a chance on your bench.

Is there any other TE's in NO that could compete for playing time? Last year i thought he was splitting time with someone else.

Shhhhhhh! Lets keep this guy on the downlow, MSB :-)

I'm actually pretty high on Zach Hilton as a nice late round selection with a good upside. Mix his size + Brees at the helm, and you could be in for a suprise.

Plus, we know Brees likes his TEs(no pun intended ;-) )

Well, I would actually assume that he won't be as good as expected based on too many people vying for touches (Bush, McAllister, Horn, Stallworth) but the "theory" I'm working on says it all depends on whether there is a viable second passing option for Drew Brees.

That means if Joe Horn is receiving all of the first looks and Donte Stallworth and/or Reggie Bush steal too many of the passes he won't become a good option at all. This also assumes that the running game is top 10 worthy between Bush and McAllister, which I suspect it *could* be. (Really, I haven't looked into whether passing numbers for RBs influence these either. My logic is that if the RBs are a threat the DBs play up instead of back allowing the TE to find a seam)

He'll probably be a servicable #2 TE but I wouldn't rely on him to be your weekly starter.
