Gimp troubleshooting question

A few months ago, Gimp, which had worked fine on my computer for a while, suddenly stopped working. It would start to open and get to the loading screen, and then just quit by itself. I deleted the program and downloaded everything again, but still have the same problem. I have Windows XP, but my computer is old. Any idea what the problem is or how I can fix it?

you've probably ran out of memory on your computer so the program can't run. A quick way to free up some space is to delete a few programs. OR if you don't wanna do that, go to your nearest electronics store and grab a memory stick.

on the brushes i downloaded for gimp on my other computer i cant get the color to be anything but black, how can i fix this?

Yes, the problem is problem the memory

well it works ok with every other brush it gave me but none that i DLed

Make sure you unzipped the files and that the brush has the right extension.

how bout this one when i cut somthing out with the "cut shapes from image" tool and i final get it to the end i cant get the cut to finish i dont know how to explane it but my cut is still one line and not the moving little dots how can i finalize the cut?
