Bye Week Blues...

Postby thelongestyard » Thu Oct 10, 2002 7:52 am

Here is my matchup for this week. What are my chances of pulling out a victory? Unfortunately, my two top receivers are sitting out for a bye week.

My team Starters:
QB-T. Brady
RB's-P. Holmes,T. Henry
WR's-J. Pathon,S. Smith
TE-R. McMichael

QB-M. Brunell
RB-C. Garner

My Opponent Starts:
WR's-E.Moulds,Q. Ismail

Just curious on any opinions. Am leery of Pathon and S.Smith as my receivers, but the FA wire does not have a lot to offer. Considered picking up J. Porter, but am not sure he would be any improvement over my two starters for this week. Trades do not appear to be an option in this league. You can offer, but get no responses. Am only considering benching Garner because of his injury. Will keep checking on his status til game time. Thanks for any responses.

It looks fairly equal, except for WR.Moulds is the key here.Let's not forget about Aaron Glenn on the other side of the ball,he could hamper Moulds' #'s.I'm thinking that the Bills will try to control the clock instead of playing catch-up.This is bad for Moulds owners but good for Henry owners, which in your case could take you over the top.Good Luck!

I actually like your chances, especially with your RB's. Your opponents team doen's jump out at me as being completely dominating.

I would keep a very close eye on Troy Brown's status. he suited up last week, but didn't get in. I just read that he's been practicing this week and very well may play. He's listed as day to day. I like Brown over Steve Smith.

Good luck!

I agree with the dog-faced gremlin. Moulds will be a key factor, but last I heard Aaron Glenn will not be playing this week. If that's so, then that will leave Moulds unchecked this week and could go up for a good game. (notice I said could) If he does, then odds are Buff will take an early lead and Henry will get plenty of opportunities. It looks like both sides will be looking good against Houston.
