QUICK - Draft Mike Williams or just take a handcuff??

Postby dcskater619 » Fri Jul 07, 2006 3:21 pm

Im in a 4 man keeper and about to draft my last bench spot. I see Mike Williams sitting there and i think he could be the #2 starter behind Roy Williams.. Should i take a flier on him or take Morency to handcuff to my RB2 in D. Davis? My RBs are Rudi, DD, Ahman Green, Frank Gore, and Kevan Barlow.. My WRs are Randy Moss, Javon Walker, Drew Bennett, Reggie Williams, Justin McCariens. WHat do u guys think?

Morency isn't even the right handcuff to Dom Davis - it is Antowain Smith.

Mike Williams should get some love later in the year, but I see the first 10 games or so as being complete gooseggs for him as he is currently burried in the depth chart behind Vines and Bradford.

If those are the only two options, take Morency (although probably A. Smith is a better handcuff).

I see Bradford having Todd Pinkston-like success in Detroit. Some nothing games, some 3catches/60yds/1TD games. I would still consider him because he technically is a starter in a pass happy offense. If you want someone who might help you this year, I would take him over Williams.

yeah i agree.. i also was thinking that smith would be the handcuff and took him instead. I didnt wanna guess if Williams, Bradford, or Vines would win the #2 job so i decided to play it safe since i have 5 solid WRs already. Thanks for the help ;-D
