"Of course we have to reinstate the military draft - we need enough troops to occupy Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Syria if we want to liberate those oppressed citizens"

We don't have to worry about Syria. Pelosi has made friends with them.

The same thing that's been going on for decades - partisan politics.

And that's supposed to make me feel better?

I know I'm jumping in reallylate, but here is my quick thoughts. When it comes down to it, the President of the USA, is supposed to take care of problems in his own Country first. My opinion is he is one of the Worst Presidents this Country has ever seen. He opened up a Giant can of Worms over in Iraq, and innocent kids are dying everyday, for his Oil. He has never had a plan, and still doesn't. I only wish his kids were fighting over in Iraq. Maybe he would feel differently. Probably not. Problem is, obviously we can't just go pulling the Troops out, not now. The rest of the Country would not like that. Seems as though they don't like us anyhow. I have no problem, fighting for my Country, for the right reasons. Fortunately, I don't have to fight Bush's Oil fight. That's all, just needed to vent.
well I haven't read most of this thread but as far as the thread title goes...eh, maybe, It's scary how close we are IMO, but I don't think we're there yet, but I do have a few things to say, first off, our country is not prepared for any type of large war right now, and also, if israel officially goes to war with anyone, we'd better be right there with em', cause IMO, they are right up there with our biggest ally because of their supreme military.
I haven't really read through this thread either, but one thing I do believe is that a world war will not be sparked in the Middle East. Something ugly could happen if the Arab countries ever get their hands on nuclear weapons and attack Israel, but I don't think enough countries would be pulled into any large conflict that erupts there.
My bet would be in Asia. Either Taiwan or N. Korea could spark a world war IMO, with China being the main adversary of the US.
