Advice on league settings

I have a league with a some friends from college. However, the league is shrinking from 10 to 8 players. We have tried inviting others in but they aren't really a good fit.

We have never played in a 8 player league so we dont know if we should change the settings on starting lineups and bench size.

Right now we start
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1W/R, 1K, 1DEF, 6BN

We have been using that for the 10 teamer and it always worked fine but I don't know how it will work for an 8 teamer though.

Any advice?

It'll work fine. Everybody will have stronger teams, and the free agent pool will have more value. It should be fine though. I was in an 8-team league last year, and had fun with it (ended up winning it).

I have played in an 8 team league going on 14 years. You should have no problems with that line-up. Your teams will have better players, but it makes it harder picking which players you think will perform any given week. The winner will be the one hte guesses right more times than the others

Thanks for the advice. It might be nice having a deeper free agency pool. Losing Priest, TO, and DJax last year really killed my team.
