Keeper league

Postby dsisnero » Thu Jul 20, 2006 12:47 pm

I have a difficult question for all of you. I am in a keeper league where I can only keep ONE keeper. I have the number 1 draft pick and am seriously thinking of taking Clinton Portis.

Here are my choices...

2nd round Steven Jackson
5th Round Carson Palmer
4th Round Larry Fitzgerald Who do I keep? Also, who believes that Clinton Portis will outshine ALL RB's this year?

Tough call!

Man that is a tough call! All three represent good value in the round they are in. I would keep Larry Fitzgerald, even though the QB situation may in the hands of a rookie. Larry Fitzgerald has a nice sos (see raw data) during the three playoff weeks.

As for portis I, like most others, have him at #4, Who is available for your #1 pick?

Not LJ, Shawn Alexander (whom I think won't be great this year) LT.
Fitzgerald huh? I am scared of Linehart, I think he is going to hand the ball off all year to Edge. What do you think about Steven Jackson in the second? With the first round pick, all the other running backs are going to be gone. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Unless Fitzgerald gets benched I don't really see him being too involved with lienart this year.

If you are able to draft Portis in the first and keep Jackson in the second, that is the route I would take in your place, although Fitz in the 4th is intriguing as well assuming you can still find a reliable RB2 later.

Despite the value of Fiz and Palmer, two running backs ranked in the top 10 is hard to pass up. You are basically giving up your 2nd round pick for a 1st round RB.
