Faulk may require more surgery

Appears one of his knees has not recovered as hoped and he may have to go under the knife again - it's expected the doctor will make his decision before the end of the month. Faulk has still not decided whether to retire and may not even if he goes under the knife again - he even hinted at the possibility of taking a year off and being a TV commentator and then attempting a comeback in 2007 - I'd hate to see that, I really don't think he has much left in the tank and would rather see him go out with some dignity and respect rather than keep hanging on and maybe risk more serious injury just to be a #2 RB.

Retire. Just end it, Marshall. I'd hate to hear that he's turned into a cripple by his 45th birthday. He's a bonafide Hall of Famer, league MVP, Pro Bowl MVP and a Super Bowl Champ. There's not much left to prove.

Marshall's my boy, but if he needs more surgery he should just hang it up. He's had a great career. There's nothing left for him to do. Get out while you can still walk.

I thought Faulk was already an analyst for the 2006 season. I'd say his chances of playing in 2006 are about ~1%.
