I am concerned that Portis will either sit out or play very little. I suspect that Shanahan badly wants Portis to get back to full strength and with the Lions coming to town it is the perfect opportunity. Portis is the key to Denver's success. Everything stems from his exceptional running and threat of the big play.

The head coach simply can not come out and say that he sees this game as a good opportunity to rest one of his ailing stars (for obvious reasons). He won't say this but that doesn't mean he is not thinking about sitting Portis entirely or pulling him very early.

I am still starting Portis if he is expected to play but my expectations have been lowered.

would you recommend me benching portis and putting up M. Williams in his place? As shocking as that seems :-o

I think the question right now is more of.. will anderson be ready to play Sunday? I think you can all but rest assured that Portis will not play.. he might dress if Anderson is out and if they are losing he might get a series or two, but really do you see Denver having that much trouble with the Lions?? I went ahead and picked up Griffen this week just in case he gets the start. I might try him out at the flex spot if he does.

As of now (new info could change things), I'm starting W. Green (vs. Cinci) over Portis in one of my leagues. I chose to go with Portis over Hambrick in another league. So yes, personally I'd start Moe over Portis this week.

Portis would be a very bad start, but on the other hand Moe would be a great start! Portis wont even see the field & Moe will run wild on San Fran.

Portis is only listed as probable on the week 4 injured list. Mike Anderson isn't even listed. And guys like Priest Holmes and Corey Dillon are listed as questionable, yet why aren't their owners in as much pain as Portis owners (and Culpepper/Holcomb owners)?

Guess we'll have to ride these situations out a few more days.

Ride Moe Williams. Moe is a sure starter for me this week. I might play anyone between Portis/Barlow/Griffin/Joey Gallowey in the last flex position.

The latest news is Portis might not even play this week and if he does it will only be for 1/2.

Start Moe !!
