Ok guys, I read a thread similar to this on another board, and it really got me thinking about RBs. Everyone always talks about the greatness of certain RBs in recent memory, and I was kind of surprised at who I picked given something non-fantasy related. So my question is:
North Ancaster Astros - Crusaders Treasure Chest represent
Barry sanders is by far the best runner of that bunch. If you are looking for a guy who can catch passes as well as run, Faulk is tops in that category.
But, i would have to pick Sanders. He was amazing on a subpar team for many years
I say LT...I have never seen anyone with that combination of size, speed, and elusivity. He has shown many times that he can literally do it all.
As for Barry Sanders, I am a Saints fan. The last thing I need is a RB that runs backwards 10 yards three plays in a row then breaks one for a TD. Way too much excitement for Saints fans.
LT owns Barry. Not to say Barry was bad by any stretch, but LT is just simply the best RB I've ever seen. He can do it all, and NOT get the most tackles for a loss of any RB I can remember. After all, if you're going to dance in your own backfield, you're gonna get a partner.
Barry Sanders. The best running back of all time. I would argue that none of the other backs on this survey have the potential to score every time they touch the ball, no matter the situation, blocking scheme, or defensive alignment.
