They'll pay him. With the loss of Givens, Vinatieri, and McGinest, the unsure futures of Bruschi and Harrison, they can't afford to rely on Chad Jackson as their #1 WR. If he sticks to the holdout, Miami is going to enjoy stealing the division.
I think it'll be a short holdout, as both sides should be motivated to reach a mutually beneficial conclusion sooner rather than later. The Pats need their #1 WR in camp, and with the holdout fine bumped to 14 Grand a Day you gotta think Branch wants to get this done ASAP.
