8 year league (w/IDP) looking to recruit only ACTIVE owners

The Homer's Heroes fantasy football league is looking for only active owners to recruit.

The league has been in full force as a 12 month of the year league since 1999, with trades, restricted free agency and more in the offseason. The league has a fully functioning website that is used for record keeping and many, many other things - take a look! For example, the league constitution is also featured on the league website.

Right now there are 14 franchises in the league as we expanded this past offseason. However, there are plans to expand in the 2006-07 offseason as well to bring the total franchises in the league to 16. We are starting this search early so as to get the best fits for the league.

What would be the best fit? An easy going guy who wants to dedicate himself to HH as his main league and is willing to participate in the very active message board of the league. The league incorporates a reward system to give certain bonuses to a franchise if an owner contributes certain things to the league like activity on the message board and writing league articles as well as other league chores.

Basically, be prepared to be very active in the league. If you plan on setting your lineup and checking into a league once a week, don't bother - we only want guys that will become part of the league community habitually. Those prospective owners that use AOL instant messenger would definitely be favored as we have informal chat sessions too.

Does a league that you want to check in on each and every day, even in the offseason, seem like one that you would be interested in? Good! You'd fit in with HH. Please feel free to fill out an HH owner application! I will get that very quickly and make sure to contact you as soon as possible.

Still looking for prospective owners for the 2007 (not 2006!) season. Hoping for an owner who uses some sort of instant messenger (AOL, Yahoo, MSN).

Looking for a mature guy who can handle an in-depth league. This is not some Yahoo league. It is a league with an eight year history and hopefully, at least eighteen more years ahead of it.

There are no open franchises in the league right now, and for good reason. The league expanded this past offseason, and is looking to expand yet again after this offseason, primarily because of the success of the league and the stability of the ownership in the league. For this reason, we are looking for an owner who will treat this league with priority and be around for many seasons to come.

This league features IDPs, salaries, contracts, an auction draft as well as a reward point system which rewards owners with league currency for being active in the league and contributing articles and other league chores.

Homer's Heroes is taking applications, whether it be on the league website application or as a PM on this site. Either way will work fine.

HH prefers to bring in prospective owners as assistant general managers to teams so the league as a whole can get a feel for the prospective owner. Also, the prospective owner gets a feel for the league, its rules and its owners which is always important.

There is no time requirement to be an assistant GM, but just to be an active participant on the league's message board and be a good fit for the league.

Right now we have about three guys fulfilling roles as assistant GM's and another prospective owner looks likely to jump aboard as well. The league is always happy to take applications for assistant GM positions with the hope that the applicant will be full owner of his own franchise soon.

Homer's Heroes give first preference to any open franchises (expansion or not) to owners who put in time as Assistant General Managers. If you would like to read more about this, please follow the link. Basically what it means is, having access to the league website, and participating in league discussions and votes on the league forum.
