my league use the serpentine draft with a twist. numbers are drawn 1-12. the person that get #1 gets to choose where he wants to draft, instead of automatically getting #1. I like it because it adds another element of strategy to the draft. just food for thought!

Here's how we select draft order in one of my leagues:

All playoff teams get the last picks in the 1st round in order from worst to best.

During the playoffs all non-playoff teams play for total points. The highest of the teams gets first pick and it continues down. On top of that the highest scoring team also gets a consolation prize. It makes people field teams and makes it interesting for them when they are virtually out of the playoff hunt.

It may have it's flaws but it apparently could be much worse...

I think this is a great idea and something I have been toying with for a few years now.
