Looks pretty cool, I just don't get what the background is supposed to be.

Looks good, but you should've done some more with the bg. Idk what specifically, but the bg shouldn't have anything in it that can draw your attention away from the main player of the sig. Maybe you can try blending or adding gradients. Also, that black fade around the text, get rid of that. Might want to add some lighting around CP too.

Actually, I think if you add some deep, dark outer glow to Portis ... it would bring him out ALOT more, and not so much blend in w/ the background.

I love crazy background, and this certainly qualifies (not a bad thing) ... just keep messing w/ ways to bring Portis to the forefront.
