perhaps it may be too much if it was done towards the end of year because teams only wanted to give up a 2nd rounder for the likes of sean alexander and edge 2 years back

If we could get Champ and Lelie for Jones and a pick, I'd be thrilled.

muhsim muhammed.
mark bradley(coming off a torn acl).
bernard berian.

4th overall pick cedric benson getting paid 10 million dollars this season.
more than respectible 3rd back in adriane petterson.

i would have no problem with the bears pulling the trigger here. jones has been unhappy for months now anyways.

All of this is very true, but it's still too little for Jones. He's got starting RB skills - there's no way you trade him for just one WR, especially Lelie.

eh, as long as you have a good o-line, almost any back can succeed. and the bears have a very good o-line.

Let's keep in mind that the Bears made this offer to Denver, not vice versa. So don't read too much into Shanny having little faith in the RB's he already has in tow. Not to mention, none of this means anything until the deal is done. Offers are placed on the table all the time.

That's because those guys were going to have to get paid huge contracts upon arrival with their new teams.

And keep dreaming about getting Champ for Thomas Jones Bears fans. It will be a cold day in Hell before that happens.
