Anyone else think people overrated Roy Williams?

I expect a big year for him. To me, it's worth taking him over guys like Donald Driver, etc. who are being drafted around the same spot but have limited upside.

i have him ranked 12th out of WR...he cant seem to stay healthy and drops some easy balls, but as a Lions fan i have the misfortune of watching every game and he makes some unbelievable plays...definately has 1200+ yd 10+ TD potential

He's one of the guys I have targeted for my WR2 slot. Hopefully I'll be able to get him in the 4th (though he might be gone, cause it'll be pick 4.10). I don't think I would snatch him in the early 3rd. but it depends on how the draft is going.

16 TDs in 27 games is pretty damn impressive. Especially considering it was his rookie and 2nd year playing in the league. And especially, especially considering he played for the 04/05 Lion's with Joey Harrington at QB. Not even mentioning injuries.

I think everybody and their momma sees that Roy Williams has the talent to be the next stud WR, and at least 1 person is willing to gamble an early pick on it.

I see Roy going in about the 6 th round or 7th, anything higher is asking for trouble. I do think he is very talented, and I think he is in for a pretty good season, as long as he stays healthy, and Kitna is the starter all year.

I have consistently been drafting him in mocks as my WR2 in the fourth round. I hope to do so again in my real draft.

You're dreaming if you think he can be had there. Late 3rd and early 4th is his natural range. Earlier its a reach, later he won't be there.

The only reason he hasn't put up great numbers yet is due to these small nagging injuries. For instance, while he is officially listed as playing 13 games last season the reality is more like 9 or 10. If he managed to play 16 games somehow at something near full health Roy would certainly grab about 80 catches for 1200 yards and 14 touchdowns or so.

It's a gamble, though. He probably won't make it through a season healthy.
The facts have no meaning.

If by overrated you mean underrated then yes, I agree.
