Hi all, our league may be changing from a traditional league to one where we use and auction to draft and a cap during the year. I have done an auction style draft, but never a cap. We are currently tossing ideas around and voting on which way to go.
I always felt that the cap worked better for dynasty leagues? If you have any suggestions on ways to make a cap league work without a dynasty element please chime in.
It seems like it will cause alot of limitations. Say I have 2 players that have a high value, but that changes throughout the year via injury or what have you, and I trade them for one player. The other guy would have to dump alot of players just to fit the trade? I guess I can understand that if you are in a dynasty and building for another year. Or in baseball where starting lineups are more flexible on the whole.
What other issues are there with this style of league?
Thanks in advance!
