League Scoring Settings

Hey everybody. I am commish of my league and am wondering if this point scoring system looks good. I've adapted it from yahoo's default system. The idea is to add a little more importance to the QB and to tweak a few other positions. We used this system last year and everyone seemed to like it. Any thoughts on how to improve it? Thanks

that scoring system puts too much importance on QBs. it doesnt matter if youre trying to put more importance on them, but that scoring system basically puts QBs up there with running backs.

Putting them up there with RBs is kinda the point. In real football QB is the most important position (usually). I don't see why thats any different in fantasy football.

This only benefits a couple of the Leagues QBs. If you don't have one of them, you are screwed! I don't like this scoring system at all! Too much emphasis on QB scoring.

Way too much emphasis on QBs. Any time you have 6 points for QB tds you're emphasizing QBs... to make .25 per completion just makes them juggernauts. An average 250/2/25 completions for an elite QB would equal 23 points.

I would suggest taking out the .25/comp and making RB/WR yardage 10/1 or you're going to have a very TD heavy league. My main league uses 50/1 20/1 and I hate it because it really emphasizes lucky multi TD games.

cowboys4life- With these settings I would consider getting a QB in the first round. Definitely get one in the first or second.

Goody-I guess it is important to know this is a 5 team league. Just a few friends playing for fun. Since this is the case, it is likely everyone will get a good QB that will benefit from the scoring system.

Gnu314- I like the suggestion of getting rid of the completion points and changing the RB/WR yardage. Thanks!

I must be in the minority since I want a a QB to be more important than a RB. Plus each team starts 2 RBs and only 1 QB. Seems like QB should get a little boost. Anyway, I'll try to tweak the settings and make things a little more even. Thanks again for the help!
