Stokley To Get More Involved Again?

Even during the prolific 2004 season, Stokely was a borderline start. He would put up 110+ yards and 2 TDs one game, then catch two passes for 34 yards the next. It was like playing slots at the casino if you started him in your fantasy lineup - payed off once in a while but usually robbed you clean.

Even if the Colts return to their prior ways, Stokely is barely worth a 4th WR spot or 2nd flex spot in your lineup. And I don't know many leagues that start 4 WRs or 2 flex WR/RB slots.

Actually i think Edge being gone will help set up a more pass heavy offense.

I'm not that sure. Edge was a capable receiver and a good pass protector, in addition to being a bigger running threat than Rhodes or Addai at this point. Ds will be able to cheat to cover WRs a little more and Manning may not have the time to look over all of his reads if the blocking breaks down. That could lead to dump offs to Clark or forcing the ball to Harrison/Wayne. We'll see.

My thinking is that, you may be right in the early going, but if Defenses play back Rhodes or Addai's YPC should be so great that will force them up some, then manning will burn them. The only way I see ,what you say will happen, go all season is if the D's front 4 stuffs the run. Then manning may hurt....
