Collins to MIN???

I heard the rumor on the local K-FAN that Minnesota is looking for a veteran QB to serve as an emergency quarterback and help mold Jackson. It wasn't a very long snippet, but I was curious if any other Minnesota fans heard this or if fans in general thought this was a smart move. I guess this wouldn't say too highly of O'Sullivan/McMahon.

I haven't heard anything but I think this would be a good move for the Vikes. If they want to be competitive this season, they need a decent backup for old man Johnson.

This is a good idea. Brad Johnson probably won't make it through the season and Mike McMahon is just incredibly bad. At least with Collins there isn't much dropoff if BJ gets hurt and they should be in contention against the rest of the division.

They need to do something....Brad Johnson is 72 years old next month and Tavaris Jackson is nowhere near being ready to start in the NFL if he goes down....

Signing Kerry Collins would not be a bad idea for them.

I doubt they would sign Collins. I looked at their main site along with their Vikings training camp page and it wasn't mentioned. There in camp and I think they are ready to roll with what they got. I have been wrong before but I don't see this materializing.

i live by Oakland and have consitently watched the raiders. All I saw was Collin playing like garbage game after game, The vikings are good with Mcmahon as their backup, my friend is a eagles fan and he said Mcmahon is a good backup
