I know this is kind of off-topic, but does anyone here have a link to Jamal Lewis giving a statement that he didn't play 100% last year due to a contract dispute?

I was reading my SportingNews magazine yesterday, and the author of the article said that Jamal Lewis lost his unofficial "team leader" status when he admitted to playing at less than full speed last season because of his contract status.

On another sidenote, Jamal Lewis' current contract is HEAVILY incentive based and easily voidable after 1 year.

I couldn't find anything (that's a tough concept to search for) but I'm 100% positive I heard that as well. I'm not sure though if that can be attributed to something that was rumored or something Jamal Lewis said though.
