I really don't think that anyone could be that stupid, knowing that they're going to be tested. I really think that France is extremely bitter that they never caught Armstrong when they believed that he was cheating all those years. I think that there was no way they were going to let another American win the race. When it looked like Landis was going to win I think they cheated and doctored the test results.
Just my opinion and I always love a great conspiracy theory.
And just for the record, I realy could care less about Le Tour. I just really think that Landis is being framed here. If not, he's gotta be the dumbest guy on the face of the earth to take illegal drugs when he knows that he'll be tested.
I'm buying that theory as well...I heard somewhere that what he has tested positive for takes a long time to kick in. So he doesnt test positive for the majority of the race then all of a sudden he does?
And I do think cycling is a sport. Probably one of the more demanding sports out there actually IMO (up there with soccer) - especially during the mountain stages.

Excellent point Myabe they should have roofing races. I mean all the sudden chpping down a log is a sport why not other occupations? Framing, dry walling, paving. grass cutting.

LB has a point. He took 8 tests including 3 blood tests during the race. 4 before the positive one, 3 after. All were clean. Nobody would take it just once because thats not the way that stuff works. I smell something....and I think it's the french
I'm more inclined to believe LB because of the accusations they threw at Armstrong last year, then to have another american win....well, they just couldnt handle that I'm sure.
I heard him last nite on sportscenter and he said I want to clear one thing up and that is that I did not have a high testosterone level, I was on the low end but because it's a ratio, it' looks high.
Now this isn't a direct quote. but it was something to this effect.
And, I don't remember what the ratio was. but I'll believe this guy before I'd believe any euro French punk. of course this doesn't include french canadians . . . yet.
