Well, I'm about at my wits end ... running out of ideas, and I really think this one shows that. Mainly the text --- just not feeling it.

Any ideas? ... or if you like, by all means -- let me know.

BTW: On his back, where it looks like a bad cut -- it's actually part of his number.

I dint think the text blends very well with the backround. Neither dose Reggie. Other than that i really like it.

looks good to me, but you could try and brighten up reggie. did you edit the jersey?

Try throwing a Desaturation layer and mask it so it's just over Reggie so his face isn't so orange.

never throw in the towel, trust me i hit a slump like prolly 8 months ago, and just couldn't do it anymore, but I pulled through, and am finally coming up with some decent stuff, just keep trying different techniques and such on the background with different lighting and blending techniques, but it really looks decent, i haven't taken a close look at the second one, but the first one looks decent but it looks like you used some sort of technique or something on his face around the edges and it looks sort of strange, kind of looks like you tried to use lighting, but for me sometimes it just comes out wierd. and if you don't like the bg or whatever just keep working at it, and don't think too hard about it, that was one of my problems when I had a slump, so just keep trying man, you'll get it.

The text is better, but like Wicked said desaturate him a bit and add a goldish color over him so he flows with the bg better.

It might be better actually if you would just find a new picture of Reggie... something similar. I like the concept, but I'm not sure the picture is working for ya.
