I like this one too, bright flashy sigs are my favorite. I do like the Peppers one quite a big more, but this one is very nice. The Ben pic looks a little blurry, but that may just be because of my crappy monitor or the reduced quality for the cafe?

with the brushes, most of the time what I do, is I start with just making the background, when there is nothing else in the sig yet, and I brush with black and a very little bit of white ( on different layers), then, i make a new layer, make it totaly the color I want say "blue", and I either tone down the opacity enough to where the background looks good, or I set it on overlay. it makes the bg look better imo. ;-D but ya, your getting better, looks good man.

i use a technique similar to the guru. i keep making layers of just brushing, go back and worth between white and black with grunge brushes. then i make a color balance layer and a brightness/contrast layer, using both to get a look i like for the background. give it a try and if you need help ill be happy to.

Wow, you're right. The only thing that separates the big ben sig from the johnson sig is that Steelers has his name in the upper left-hand corner, whereas bearski didn't put his name is the sig. They do look almost exactly the same, of course they aren't the same color and don't use the same brushes.

One thing you should invest in: finding higher quality pics. The pic quality on this one isn't the greatest unless its just the cafe limits that kill it.
